Use freehire from your terminal — or any AI assistant

The freehire CLI has grown up, and it now has a sibling.

The CLI lets you search jobs, browse companies, and track what you’ve applied to — straight from the terminal. Two newer commands make it more than a job list: freehire facets shows every filter’s live values so you search with real terms, and freehire market-fit --skills go,react measures how much of the open market your skills already reach, and which missing skills would unlock the most vacancies. You can even tailor a CV toward a specific job and export an ATS-ready PDF.

New alongside it: an MCP server. Add freehire-mcp to Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or any Model Context Protocol host, and your assistant can search and track jobs for you directly — same tools, same account. Both share one fhk_… API key: authenticate once and the CLI and the MCP server use the same credentials.

Everything you apply to or save shows up on your Tracking board, exactly as it does on the site. Setup and the full command list are on the CLI page; both the CLI and the MCP server are open source.
