Filter remote jobs to the ones you can actually take

Someone in Indonesia flagged a posting listed as remote that turned out to be open only to candidates in Canada. Reading the fine print on every “Remote” listing to check gets old fast, so open All filters → Location and there’s a new Eligible for me pill.

Turn it on and anything scoped to a country or region you’re not in drops out of the list. It leaves worldwide-remote postings alone, and it leaves postings whose location we could not read from the listing alone too — hiding those would be worse than showing them, since we genuinely don’t know either way.

It’s off by default, on purpose. Across the open catalogue, most postings marked “remote” are actually scoped to one specific country (77.7%) rather than open to the whole world (9.9%), so switching this on for everyone would have made the list look broken for anyone outside a handful of countries.

Signed in with a location saved on your profile, it uses that. Otherwise it falls back to your rough region, the same guess the site already makes elsewhere on first visit.
