About
The Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting advocacy, collaboration, and leadership that improves the health status and access of Asian Americans (AAs), Native Hawaiians (NHs), and Pacific Islanders (PIs). Established in 1987, AAPCHO was formed by community health centers primarily serving medically underserved AA and NH/PI communities to create a national voice advocating for the unique and diverse health needs of these populations and the community health providers that serve them. AAPCHO's vision is to be a national leader and critical voice for AA and NH/PI community health centers and consumers, ensuring that these communities have better access to affordable, high-quality, and culturally and linguistically proficient health care. The organization achieves its mission through advocacy, research, data collection, training, and providing resources and tools to member health centers. Located in communities with high concentrations of AAs and NHs/PIs, AAPCHO members are at the forefront of community health care innovations, meeting the health care needs of the fastest-growing population in the United States.
