About
The Chef Ann Foundation is dedicated to promoting whole-ingredient, scratch cooking in schools. Our mission is to empower schools across the nation with the tools, training, resources, and funding necessary to provide the healthiest, tastiest meals that ensure children are well-fed and ready to learn. Since our inception in 2009, we have partnered with schools to implement successful healthy school meal programs, impacting millions of children and educational institutions nationwide. Our advocacy focuses on creating not only nutritious meals but also fostering an understanding of the importance of healthy food in education. We engage various stakeholders, including school district administrators, food service teams, parents, and community members, providing them with valuable resources and guidance to advocate for better food systems in schools. Through strategic programs like Get Schools Cooking, Salad Bars to Schools, and the School Food Institute, we aim to make substantial changes in school food policies and practices. The ultimate goal is that every child has access to fresh, nutritious meals in a supportive food environment.
