We’ve built the most effortless, equitable telehealth solution, so more people can access care on their terms. Our Story In 2012, ER doctor Blake McKinney had an epiphany. He regularly received text messages from friends and family requesting medical advice. Why couldn’t that immediate, easy, familiar mode of communications be made available to everybody? Especially those undeserved by traditional healthcare. With that in mind, Blake and co-founder, Andrew Altorfer created CirrusMD. Designed to make texting a doctor as easy as texting a friend. Since then, CirrusMD has expanded to provide healthcare access to nearly 10 million users across all 50 states, with care delivered through multi-specialty, board-certified doctors who can treat a broad range of conditions, from acute to chronic, and from primary care to specialty areas, including behavioral health. Our Mission We believe that telehealth works best when it works for everybody. Which is why we’ve built a virtual primary care solution with equity at its core. We’ve taken something unnecessarily convoluted, time-consuming, and unequal — consulting with a physician on demand, anytime, from anywhere — and made it effortless and accessible to all. Our focus is on providing the fastest access to equitable, high quality virtual care for people who feel underserved by traditional health care.
