Compassion UK is a Christian child development charity dedicated to releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name. Founded in 1952, the organization has been following the example of Jesus by seeing injustice and moving with compassion for over 70 years. Today, Compassion UK cares for more than 2.4 million children across 29 countries, working exclusively in partnership with over 9,000 local churches that bring deep cultural understanding, local knowledge of community needs, and strong relationships. The organization's holistic approach addresses economic, physical, social, and spiritual poverty, empowering children to become change-makers in their families, communities, and nations. Their three core programmes include Mums and Babies, which provided support to 4,002 mothers and babies in 2024; Holistic Child Development, with 107,205 children and youth sponsored in 2024; and Critical Interventions, supporting 269,315 individuals locally in 2024.
