We are a private, not-for-profit healthcare delivery system committed to serving our communities across Alamance, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, and surrounding counties in central North Carolina. [2, 6] Our brand promise, 'We Are Right Here With You,' is a commitment shared by our dedicated team of over 13,000 employees, 1,650 physicians on our medical staff, and 1,000 volunteers. [6, 20] We strive to provide a full range of health care services distinguished by measurable excellence, rooted in the founding principles of community service and superior patient care. As one of the region's largest and most comprehensive health networks, we operate more than 150 locations. This extensive network includes five hospitals: Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Wesley Long Hospital, Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital, Alamance Regional Medical Center, and Annie Penn Hospital. [2, 6] Beyond our hospitals, we offer services through six ambulatory care centers, three outpatient surgery centers, ten urgent care centers, one retirement community, and over 120 physician practices, encompassing primary and specialty care via Cone Health Medical Group and Triad HealthCare Network. Our history dates back to 1953 with the opening of The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, established in honor of Moses H. Cone by his wife, Bertha Cone. This flagship hospital, a 628-bed teaching hospital and referral center, includes specialized facilities like a Children's Emergency Department and the Cone Health Women's & Children's Center. We are proud to be part of Risant Health, a nonprofit organization created by Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, which is dedicated to enhancing the health of millions by increasing access to value-based care and coverage. [6, 8] Our focus areas include primary care, cardiology, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and obstetrics, among many other specialties. We are consistently recognized for our commitment to quality care and have been listed by U.S. News & World Report as a High Performing Hospital in numerous adult procedures and conditions.
