About
Corinthian Capital is a control equity investor, targeting opportunities where we can be the first institutional investor in founder or family-owned or operated businesses. We focus on lower middle market companies – across manufacturing, services and distribution verticals – where our valuable segment experience and longstanding relationships have driven the successful execution of our strategy. Kenneth Clay, Peter Van Raalte and the late Steven J. Kumble founded Corinthian in 2005. Our principals have worked together for more than 15 years and our team has more than 100 years of aggregate experience in financial services, investment management and private company management. We appreciate that the entrepreneurs who took the risk to build their businesses over decades deserve a steward with the acumen and sensibility to empower their management team to achieve the business' full potential during the next stage of their company's growth. We take the time to understand each company and to tailor an investment structure with careful regard to its growth needs and market position. Following an investment, we work alongside management – and many times alongside the founder/operator who remains involved in the business – to carefully execute on a shared vision and strategic business plan. We conduct a disciplined and replicable investment approach that has been successful for decades, actively managing each portfolio company to ensure business initiatives are targeted to result in the highest value creation.
