FCCN is the digital services unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) in Portugal, dedicated to advancing science, technology, and knowledge through robust IT infrastructure. We provide high-speed internet connectivity and a comprehensive suite of shared digital services – including network access (Eduroam, Géant), research support platforms (RCAAP, B-on), and collaborative tools (Videoconference, HD Studio) – to over 600,000 users within the Portuguese higher education and research community. FCCN distinguishes itself by offering cost-effective, replicable solutions designed to foster collaboration and excellence in education and research. As a member of the European GÉANT network, we facilitate privileged access to international infrastructures, data, and services, empowering Portuguese researchers, educators, and students to connect and contribute on a global scale.
