Geisinger is a nonprofit health system that delivers value-based care to more than 1.2 million residents across Pennsylvania through 126 clinical sites, including 10 hospitals and its own Geisinger Health Plan. The organization supports a comprehensive ecosystem that includes the Geisinger College of Health Sciences, which trains over 5,000 medical professionals each year, and a robust research program that conducts more than 1,400 clinical studies. With 26,000 employees—1,700 of whom are physicians—Geisinger is one of the state’s largest employers and a $15 billion economic driver. In March 2024, it joined Risant Health, positioning itself at the forefront of nationwide value-based care innovation.
