About Us Harmattan AI is a next-generation defense prime building autonomous and scalable defense systems. Following the close of a $200M Series B, valuing the company at $1.4 billion, we are expanding our teams and…
Kernel Software Engineer owning the low-level software platform on ground control station hardware for autonomous defense drones: Linux kernel bring-up, drivers and device trees, custom Android/AOSP builds, and SBUS/MAVLink data links, taking products from board bring-up to mass production and field tests.
Builds the mission execution infrastructure that turns planned missions into reliable, real-time behavior across fleets of autonomous defense robots. Day to day: developing scalable backend services and APIs for orchestration and agent communication in production-grade C++ and Python, with strong CI/CD, testing, and telemetry-driven debugging for live operations.
Design compute modules and boards end-to-end for autonomous defense systems, covering architecture, schematic, layout guidance, fabrication, bring-up, and qualification using high-speed digital design (PCIe, 10GbE, USB 3.x, MIPI) and electronic CAD tools like Altium.
Design and implement real-time digital signal processing RTL in VHDL/SystemVerilog for Electronic Warfare and SIGINT systems, collaborating closely with RF hardware and embedded software teams.
Develop and maintain embedded Linux BSPs, secure boot chains, and device drivers for defense-grade compute modules, taking boards from first power-up to flight-ready systems.
