About us Huru Initiatives is a Tanzanian nonprofit advancing sustainable freshwater management in underserved communities. It works with local people to restore water ecosystems, expand access to clean water, and promote conservation practices that support livelihoods, environmental protection, and long-term community resilience. Team background Our team is made up of seven young leaders bringing diverse experience across natural resources management, community development, innovation and entrepreneurship, policy and management, and climate finance—all united by a shared passion for building a future where both people and the planet can thrive.
