About
Jobs for the Future (JFF) is a national nonprofit organization that drives transformation of the U.S. education and workforce systems to achieve equitable economic advancement for all. Founded in 1983, JFF has spent more than 40 years partnering with organizations to design solutions, scale best practices, influence policy and action, and invest in innovation that expands economic opportunity for workers and learners across the country. The organization works with colleges, states, and partners to design flexible, learner-centered pathways that help adults complete educational goals and achieve economic mobility. JFF's North Star goal is that by 2033, 75 million Americans facing barriers to economic advancement will have quality jobs - nearly double the number in 2023. The organization operates at the national, state, and local levels, forging deep partnerships with employers, investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and education and workforce development providers to break down barriers and reimagine what is possible. JFF has offices in Boston (headquarters), Washington, DC, and Oakland, California, with a fully remote team spanning coast to coast. The organization is funded by leading foundations, government agencies, and corporations including Google, Bank of America, Walmart, Workday, and the Walton Family Foundation.
