In 2017, co-founders Veit Blumschein and Daniel Nolte, who had previously collaborated on the travel venture 'fromAtoB', found themselves personally overwhelmed by the complexities of managing corporate trips. Commuting between cities like Aachen, Berlin, and Munich, they realized that the existing digital processes for organizing travel were fragmented, time-consuming, and surprisingly immature for the digital age. They saw a market saturated with partial solutions but lacking a holistic platform that could handle the entire journey from booking to accounting. Driven by this personal necessity, they launched Lanes & Planes in Munich with a clear vision: to revolutionize business travel management through a truly end-to-end Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution.
