About
We are Lap of Love, a nationwide network of veterinarians dedicated exclusively to providing compassionate end-of-life care for pets in the comfort of their own homes. Our journey began in 2009 when our founder, Dr. Dani McVety, recognized a profound need for a more personal and peaceful way for families to say goodbye to their beloved companions. Shortly after, Dr. Mary Gardner joined as co-founder, bringing her expertise to help us grow and reach more families in need. Together, we envisioned a service that prioritizes the human-animal bond, ensuring it remains as undisturbed as possible during such a difficult time. At Lap of Love, we understand that a pet's final moments are incredibly sacred. That's why we focus on creating a serene and supportive experience, not just for the pet, but for the entire family. Our services include in-home euthanasia, veterinary hospice care, telehospice consultations, and comprehensive pet loss support. We believe that every pet deserves to pass with dignity, surrounded by love in their favorite place. Our dedicated team of over 375 doctors and 300 support staff members across 36 states shares this core belief. We offer guidance on quality-of-life assessments, pain and anxiety management, and help families navigate the emotional journey of pet loss with empathy and understanding. Our commitment is to provide heartfelt care, ensuring that each family feels supported and that their pet's final chapter is one of peace and love. We've been honored to assist over 100,000 families and their pets, and we continue to strive to set the highest standard for end-of-life veterinary care.
