Co-founded by filmmaker George Lucas and investor Mellody Hobson, the museum features a 300,000-square-foot building on an 11-acre campus that blends expansive galleries, two state-of-the-art theaters, and dedicated learning, dining, retail, and event spaces. Its design, led by Ma Yansong of MAD Architects with Stantec as executive architect, incorporates extensive green space by Studio-MLA, underscoring a commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
