Design Verification Engineer - Compute
Design Verification Engineer at MatX, an AI-chip company, owning subsystem- and chip-level verification of high-performance AI accelerator silicon: building testbenches and tests, driving coverage closure, and leading verification sign-off through design freeze and tapeout using SystemVerilog/UVM, formal and simulation, plus Python/C++.
Microarchitect and RTL Designer - Compute
Own micro-architecture and RTL for the compute subsystem of MatX's AI accelerator chips — from spec through area/timing closure, design freeze, and tapeout — collaborating with verification, DFT, and physical design teams. Core tech: SystemVerilog, Bluespec, Python, C/C++, synthesis and sign-off flows. Mountain View HQ or remote.
Lead Software Engineer, Kernels
MatX is hiring a hands-on tech lead to manage and grow a kernel engineering team while personally designing high-performance compute kernels for its custom AI hardware. Day to day blends people leadership with low-level optimization work (C/C++, assembly, SIMD, GPU/CUDA) in close partnership with ML research and hardware teams.
