About
The Micro:bit Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering creativity and technological literacy in children globally. The Foundation provides the micro:bit, a handheld, programmable computer, to schools and individuals, empowering students to learn coding and develop inventive solutions through hands-on experience. Originally launched by the BBC, the micro:bit serves as an accessible entry point to computer science, offering a modern and powerful alternative to legacy educational technology. The Foundation’s work directly supports educators and students, equipping them with the tools and resources needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world and inspiring the next generation of innovators.
