About
n8n is an open‑source workflow automation platform that blends AI capabilities with business process automation, allowing users to connect any app or API through a visual builder or custom code. The platform supports self‑hosting under a fair‑code license, giving organizations full control over their data while benefiting from a vibrant community of developers and builders. n8n’s modular architecture lets teams start with quick, no‑code workflows and scale to complex, AI‑driven automations using JavaScript or Python, positioning it as a flexible alternative to proprietary SOAR solutions. Founded in 2019 in Berlin and backed by investors such as Sequoia and Felicis Ventures, n8n’s combination of open‑source freedom, AI integration, and enterprise‑grade automation makes it an attractive choice for tech‑savvy teams seeking scalable, customizable automation.
