About
Through groundbreaking technology and a steadfast commitment to innovation, Sonepar is revolutionizing the B2B distribution of electrical products, solutions, and related services. As an independent, family-owned company with global market leadership, Sonepar is at the forefront of the industry's evolution. The company is spearheading an ambitious transformation agenda with the goal of becoming the first global B2B electrical distributor to offer a fully digitalized and synchronized omnichannel experience to all its customers. This involves significant investments in automating its supply chain, with over €2.5 billion dedicated to this initiative, and an additional €1 billion in its global digital platform. These investments are aimed at delivering perfect orders and enhancing customer service while simultaneously reducing environmental impact. Sonepar's innovation focus extends to leveraging data and artificial intelligence to optimize its operations and customer interactions. The company is actively developing its e-commerce platforms, like the Spark omnichannel platform, to provide efficient, fast, and reliable purchasing experiences for electrical contractors, engineers, and facility managers. This digital transformation is crucial in a B2B context where professionals require high performance and reliability. Furthermore, Sonepar is committed to sustainability, aiming to provide customers with the lowest CO2 alternative for every quotation and promoting product circularity. The company's dedication to innovation is also evident in its adoption of advanced technologies such as Next.js, React, Java (Spring Boot), GraphQL, and Azure API Manager to power its complex e-commerce ecosystem. By embracing cutting-edge solutions and a forward-thinking approach, Sonepar is not just adapting to the digital revolution and advancing product technologies but is actively shaping the future of electrical distribution.
