Taronga Conservation Society Australia

About

Taronga Conservation Society Australia is a not‑for‑profit organization dedicated to safeguarding wildlife and biodiversity. It manages Taronga Zoo in Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, where it leads field‑based conservation, participates in regional and global breeding programs to create insurance populations for threatened species, and operates two wildlife hospitals that treat and rehabilitate injured native animals while delivering best‑practice care for zoo residents. Through these efforts, Taronga provides conservation outcomes, ecosystem stewardship, and immersive learning experiences that inspire collaborative action to address climate change, habitat loss, and other environmental crises.
