About
The Virginia Spaceport Authority, a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, owns and operates the Mid‑Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) on Wallops Island. MARS offers four launch pads, an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) airfield, a Payload Processing Facility, and an Integration and Control Facility, providing end‑to‑end launch services for commercial, government, and research customers. Its strategic location on the Eastern Shore gives clients direct access to Atlantic launch corridors, reliable infrastructure, and dedicated support for payload integration, making it a premier hub for aerospace missions in the Mid‑Atlantic region.
