We are Wherobots, and we're on a mission to unlock the immense potential of geospatial data for organizations of all sizes. We were founded by Mo Sarwat and Jia Yu, the original creators of Apache Sedona, the leading open-source system for distributed processing of large-scale spatial data. After witnessing the challenges and complexities organizations faced when trying to leverage location-based information, we knew there had to be a better way. That's why we established Wherobots in 2022 – to provide a seamless, powerful, and scalable platform that makes spatial intelligence accessible to everyone. Our core belief is that the world's most pressing problems, from climate change to supply chain optimization, are fundamentally geospatial in nature. By empowering data scientists, engineers, and analysts to easily work with massive geospatial datasets, we believe we can help drive meaningful solutions and innovations. Our platform, the Wherobots Spatial Intelligence Cloud, is a fully managed, cloud-native solution designed to handle the entire lifecycle of geospatial data, from ingestion and processing to analytics and AI. We've built upon the robust foundation of Apache Sedona to create an enterprise-grade engine that is up to 20 times faster than conventional cloud analytics platforms for geospatial workloads. This means our customers can bring products to market faster, calculate risk with greater accuracy, and make more informed operational decisions at scale. We support the tools and languages data teams already know and love, including SQL, Python, and Java/Scala, eliminating the need for specialized expertise.
