Role Overview:
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer who will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in test automation, software development best practices, and quality assurance methodologies. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to build robust testing frameworks and maintain high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify, analyze, and document defects, working closely with engineers to resolve them.
- Implement performance, load, and security testing strategies to ensure system stability.
- Enhance and maintain test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, and design discussions to ensure testability of features.
- Develop and track quality metrics to drive continuous improvement in testing processes.
- 3+ years of experience in QA Automation or related fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.).
- Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust) is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Scrum/Kanban teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a product-centric tech company.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to security testing practices and tools.
- ISTQB or other relevant certifications (a plus but not required).
