We’re looking for a Backend Data Engineer to help level up the impact of data-driven decision-making. You’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing the data infrastructure that supports reporting, analytics, and automation across teams.

This is a cross-functional engineering role focused on backend systems, data architecture, and integrations. You’ll collaborate with analysts and internal stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and automated data solutions.
💼 Responsibilities
Backend & Data Infrastructure
Design and optimize data warehouses using Google BigQuery.
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines from APIs, CRMs, and marketing platforms.
Develop backend microservices, internal tools, and scripts using Python and SQL.
System Integration & Automation
Connect platforms like HubSpot, Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, and SEO tools via APIs and webhooks.
Automate alerts, reporting, and workflows with tools like Zapier, Airbyte, etc.
Support scalable queries and data model architecture.
Collaboration & Support
Troubleshoot and resolve technical bottlenecks with data analysts.
Ensure clean, consistent, real-time data across systems.
Document workflows, SOPs, and technical architectures for wide audiences.
🧠Qualifications
3+ years in backend development, ideally focused on data engineering.
Advanced skills in Python, SQL, and API integrations.
Experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
Familiarity with ETL orchestration and tools like dbt, Zapier, etc.
Strong remote work discipline, documentation, and coding hygiene.
Nice-to-Haves:
Cloud experience or GCP certification.
Exposure to AI/ML pilots or regulated industries (e.g. legal marketing).
