Assistant M&E Manager

• Working Days: 5 Day A Week (Monday – Friday), Saturday may need to work half day depends on project (Can claim OT)

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Minimum 8 years of relevant M&E engineering experience in building projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or data centre preferred).

Job scope
To assist the M&E Manager in coordinating and supervising the M&E site team, including engineers and coordinators, in the planning and execution of M&E works.
To coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on shop drawings, samples, method statements, technical submissions and RFIs, and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.
To attend project / technical / safety coordination meetings and resolve site and technical issues with owners / consultants for the site progress to proceed smoothly.
To supervise site M&E Engineers and supervisors to verify that work done on site is in accordance with the approved drawings / specifications / authorities’ requirements and ensure that the subcontractors carry out rectification for non-compliance.
To conduct minimally weekly M&E meetings with the M&E subcontractors to ensure their work is in proper sequence and ensure site supervisors are aware of the work sequence to avoid clashes of site activities.
To monitor site progress and workmanship quality through inspections and QA/QC checks, and escalate unresolved issues to the M&E Manager / Project Manager.
To assist the Project Manager in planning and managing M&E schedules and manpower to meet project milestones and avoid clashes with other trades.
To review subcontractor submissions, including progress claims, variation orders, measurement sheets and material approvals, and report key issues to the M&E Manager.
To coordinate with consultants and contractors for equipment and combined services Testing & Commissioning (T&C) so that site is ready for authorities’ inspection.
To ensure site safety and WSH compliance by enforcing risk assessments, safe work procedures and permit-to-work systems.
Prepare M&E progress report or any other reports required by the client or consultants and maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Check and ensure compliance with the requirements of all required quality standards including but not limited to ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score.
To ensure that accurate project documentation, including QA/QC records, authority submissions, as-built drawings, and ISO-required documents are compiled accurately and completely for completion and DLP.
Develop Value Engineering Cost Down proposals, including cost-effective solutions for M&E, and support proposed M&E work schedules and lead times.
