1:1 Paraprofessional (Health Services)

The Winnetka Public Schools District 36 has an opening for a full-time 1:1 Associate effective immediately.

This role provides individual academic, social, and specialized health monitoring support for a specific student, working in close collaboration with classroom teachers, special education staff, and the school nurse.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Must have appropriate Illinois Licensure (Paraprofessional, SUB, or PEL).
2. Prefer previous experience working with children/students, particularly in a 1:1 or specialized healthcare setting.
3. Ability to visually supervise the student, continuously assess situations for safety concerns, and remain attentive to subtle changes in health or behavior.
4. Ability to follow individual healthcare plans (IHCP) and perform assigned duties with a minimum of direction.
5. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making prompt, safe decisions regarding student welfare and health monitoring.
6. Ability to establish and maintain effective, positive, and collaborative relationships with students, staff, parents, and medical/school health staff.
7. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relating to student medical and educational records.
8. Willingness to receive training provided by school health personnel for specific daily health management tasks.
9. Clearance of FBI Background check required.
10. Physical Exam within last year of hire date.
11. Valid First Aid/CPR Certification required (or willing to obtain prior to start).

Salary: $21.83/hour
