1 Year Assistant Finance Manager | University | Pioneer | Up to $5500 #NKA

Location: Pioneer

Duration: 1 year contract

Salary: Up to $5500 + completion bonus

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with academic and administrative stakeholders to provide financial advice and support data-driven decision-making.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, ensuring alignment with School and University priorities.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and identify risks and opportunities to enhance financial outcomes.
• Oversee revenue management and receivables processes to ensure timely revenue recognition, effective collections, and strong cash flow management.
• Review funding and budget requests, evaluate business cases, and provide recommendations to support management decisions.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses, translating complex financial information into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Maintain effective financial operations and governance by supporting procurement, payments, asset management, financial closing, audit activities, and compliance with University policies and controls.
• Support Finance Business Partner in any other matters

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g. Chartered Accountant)
• Comfortable operating in a matrix structure and fast-paced dynamic environment
• Experience in a combination of Financial Planning & Analysis and Controllership with more than 5 years of experience
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications, SAP System, PowerBI, Ariba system would be advantageous
