[1 YR CONTRACT TO PERM] Junior Medical Technologist – Neurology Diagnostic Lab #HZTS
Summary
Performs neurodiagnostic tests, maintains lab equipment, and reports results for doctors in a neurology lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth delivery of patient services
- Perform all neurophysiological and neurosonographical diagnostic tests as requested by doctors
- Conduct preliminary test reporting and record results in the computer system for the doctor-in-charge to vet
- Ensure reports are completed and dispatched to clinics/wards within stipulated timeframes
- Maintain proper filing systems for easy report retrieval
- Practise proper and economical use of consumables and supplies
- Monitor and replenish stock levels of supplies and consumables
- Maintain and demonstrate proper use and care of lab equipment
- Check and calibrate lab equipment and instruments (including emergency equipment) to ensure proper working order
- Maintain service maintenance records for equipment
- Attend to patient feedback and enquiries, performing service recovery where needed
- Handle telephone enquiries and trace results as requested
- Participate in service quality improvement activities and programmes
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by Supervisor(s)
Requirements
- Polytechnic Diploma in Biomedical Science
