Senior Fullstack Engineer (Frontend-Focused) — Contractor LATAM

General Information

  • Location: Remote, LATAM
  • Contract Type: Independent Contractor (LATAM)
  • Industry / Project: FinTech — Customer Experience (CX) Operations Platform
  • English Level: Advanced (spoken and written)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join a high-impact team building our client´s internal Customer Experience (CX) Operations platform — the tools CX agents and supervisors rely on daily to manage queues, assignments, conversations, and operational workflows.

This role is dedicated to designing and shipping agent-facing UI within a modern, modular frontend architecture, while collaborating closely with the backend services that power queues, agents, assignments, metrics, dashboards, and supervisor controls. Beyond technical excellence, we are seeking someone with strong product sense and communication skills, capable of partnering with Product, CX stakeholders, and backend engineers to turn operational requirements into reliable, intuitive experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain React/TypeScript features across CX domain modules, including operations tooling, agent presence, inbox workflows, and related internal applications.
  • Build and evolve shared UI components, forms, tables, and dashboards using the design system (Tailwind CSS, Tremor, Radix/shadcn patterns, Storybook).
  • Implement data-driven screens using TanStack Query, React Router, and react-hook-form + Zod, integrating with BFF and backend APIs.
  • Work within a micro-frontend architecture (Rspack + Module Federation), respecting domain boundaries and monorepo conventions.
  • Collaborate on API design and integration with FastAPI backend services, including understanding OpenAPI contracts, shaping BFF endpoints, and ensuring end-to-end correctness for queue, agent, and assignment flows.
  • Contribute to authorization-aware UX aligned with gateway permissions and domain-level capability models.
  • Ensure reliability, performance, and accessibility of agent-critical workflows used in production.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the frontend BFF backend stack.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices, including linting, type safety, and testing with Vitest.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven frontend-heavy track record.
  • Strong professional experience with React and TypeScript in production applications.
  • Experience building complex UIs: forms, tables, filters, dashboards, and multi-step workflows.
  • Solid understanding of modern frontend tooling: bundlers (Webpack/Rspack/Vite), CSS frameworks (Tailwind), and component-driven development.
  • Experience consuming REST APIs and working with OpenAPI-backed services; comfortable debugging across frontend and backend boundaries.
  • Experience with state and data fetching patterns (e.g., TanStack Query, React context/hooks).
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with product and operational stakeholders.
  • Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with monorepos (pnpm/Turbo/Nx) and micro-frontends or Module Federation.
  • Familiarity with Refine, react-intl, or admin/operations-style internal tools.
  • Experience with Fastify/Node.js BFFs or lightweight backend-for-frontend layers.
  • Python/FastAPI experience — enough to read APIs, propose schema changes, or ship small backend endpoints when needed.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL-backed services and understanding of transactional/domain APIs.
  • Exposure to FinTech, payments, remittances, customer support platforms, or high-volume operational tooling.
  • Experience with GCP (OIDC, Pub/Sub), Docker, and CI/CD in cloud-native environments.
  • Familiarity with Storybook, Vitest, and design-system workflows.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.

What Darwoft Offers

  • Contractor agreement with payment in USD
  • 100% remote work
  • Argentina's public holidays
  • English classes
  • Referral program
  • Access to learning platforms
