Summary
Builds and runs automated test suites for SaaS products, using JavaScript/Python/Java and tools like Selenium to validate features and report bugs.
The SDET ensures product quality through software validation, functionality analysis, and the development of automated testing scripts. Working collaboratively with developers, designers, managers, and users, the SDET contributes to building impactful software solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and test engineers to analyze requirements and review software design specifications.
2. Design and develop automation and performance solutions, creating reliable and maintainable automated regression test suites and harnesses.
3. Create and execute test plans and cases based on functional and design specifications, analyzing and reporting results.
4. Investigate, document, and troubleshoot bugs with clear, reproducible reports.
5. Work with stakeholders to clarify issues and troubleshoot complex problems.
6. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications: Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technology field, or equivalent experience.
2. 3+ years of experience in software development or testing.
3. Proficiency in at least one programming language: JavaScript, Python, or Java (preferred in this order).
4. Experience with automated testing tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Puppeteer, Mocha).
5. Familiarity with mobile automation and performance testing.
6. Knowledge of integration testing automation is a plus.
7. Working experience with databases (RDBMS or NoSQL).
9. Experience using test case and project management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRails).
10. SaaS product experience.
Preferred:
1. Experience with Mulesoft.
2. Familiarity with AWS.
3. Background in healthcare or life sciences.
