About the Role

A Senior AI/ML Engineer is sought with a strong foundation in machine learning, computer vision, and the ability to adapt to diverse challenges. As a generalist within the team, this person will be responsible for solving real-world business problems by leveraging advanced machine learning techniques and proprietary datasets. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Machine Learning Solutions: Apply traditional and modern ML techniques to improve estimation accuracy and optimize AI-driven features.
  • Leverage Proprietary Data: Utilize extensive datasets, such as construction blueprints, to develop innovative computer vision solutions.
  • Balance ML and Business Objectives: Identify and implement the most effective ML tools and approaches, aligning development with strategic goals.
  • Monitor and Optimize Performance: Establish evaluation frameworks to measure and improve the effectiveness of deployed models, iterating based on results.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to integrate ML solutions seamlessly, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Stay Up to Date: Keep track of advancements in both computer vision and machine learning, adopting promising methodologies to enhance product capabilities.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5–10 years of experience in machine learning, with a proven track record of applying techniques across domains such as NLP, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in core ML tools: Pandas, NumPy, OpenCV, and scikit-learn.
    • Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
    • Familiarity with computer vision tasks, including image recognition, object detection, and processing large datasets.
    • Hands-on experience with data engineering tools (SQL, Apache Airflow) for building pipelines.
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for deploying ML solutions.
