ICT and Multimedia Support Officer

Working Hours

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:00pm, including a 30-minute lunch break

  • Fridays: 7:00am to 3:30pm, including a 30-minute lunch break

  • No service required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Job Description

The ICT and Multimedia Support Officer will assist the school’s ICT Department with daily technical operations, audio-visual support, device management, digital media production, school events, examinations and ICT administration.

The officer will work closely with the HOD (ICT), SH (ICT), ICT Key Personnel and School Leaders.

Key Responsibilities

ICT and Technical Support

  • Set up and operate ICT and audio-visual equipment for morning assemblies and daily school activities.

  • Log in to designated systems and ensure equipment is ready before activities commence.

  • Troubleshoot projection, audio, display, internet connectivity and device-related issues.

  • Provide basic technical support for laptops, iPads, projectors, televisions, digital displays, microphones and speakers.

  • Report equipment faults requiring advanced technical support or repair.

Audio-Visual and Event Support

  • Set up, operate and dismantle ICT, PA and AV equipment for assemblies, recess programmes and student dismissal.

  • Provide technical support for school events, examinations, presentations and other activities.

  • Conduct pre-event equipment checks to ensure all systems are functioning properly.

  • Take photographs and record videos during school events and activities.

Examination and Assessment Support

  • Provide ICT support for e-Examinations and school-based digital assessments.

  • Prepare and configure laptops, iPads, chargers, headphones, speakers and microphones.

  • Support e-Oral, Listening Comprehension and other digital assessments.

  • Conduct equipment checks before examinations and provide on-site technical support.

Student Device Management

  • Charge and maintain shared student iPads, laptops and accessories.

  • Prepare devices for classes according to the school’s booking schedule.

  • Organise devices in charging carts and trolleys.

  • Deliver devices to designated locations and arrange student collection points.

  • Perform basic checks to ensure devices are ready for classroom use.

Multimedia and Digital Content

  • Edit photographs and videos for school programmes and events.

  • Create event highlights, multimedia presentations and digital resources.

  • Collate, organise and manage photographs, videos and other media files.

  • Produce content for Orientation, Graduation, National Day, Racial Harmony Day, Teachers’ Day, Children’s Day and other events.

Inventory and ICT Administration

  • Assist with stocktaking and inventory management of ICT equipment and assets.

  • Monitor ICT peripherals, accessories and consumable items.

  • Maintain accurate records of ICT equipment and report missing or faulty items.

  • Support the implementation of school ICT initiatives and digital transformation projects.

  • Recommend suitable ICT tools or applications where appropriate.

  • Perform other ICT-related duties assigned by the school.

Requirements

  • Minimum IT-related diploma.

  • At least two years of experience producing multimedia projects and setting up basic AV equipment.

  • Able to operate and troubleshoot projectors, microphones, speakers, laptops, iPads and display systems.

  • Proficient in basic photo editing, video editing and multimedia presentation production.

  • Experience supporting school events, digital assessments or e-Examinations is advantageous.

  • Good organisational and multitasking skills.

  • Good communication skills and a positive working attitude.

  • Passionate about ICT and interested in supporting digital transformation.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with school staff.

  • Candidates with higher qualifications and more extensive relevant experience may be prioritised.
