Working Hours
Candidates must be able to work according to the school’s assigned shift:
6:00am to 3:00pm; or
9:30am to 6:30pm; or
12:00pm to 9:00pm when required to support school events
Working hours include a 30-minute lunch break. Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
Job Description
The Operations Support Officer will provide operational, logistical and general maintenance support to ensure the smooth daily functioning of the school.
Key Responsibilities
School Operations
Provide daily operational support throughout the school.
Unlock classrooms, offices and other rooms before use.
Lock classrooms, offices and other rooms after use.
Open and close classroom windows and doors.
Open and close school gates and other buildings within the school premises.
Ensure rooms, gates, windows and doors are properly secured.
Cleaning and General Maintenance
Maintain the general cleanliness of the school premises.
Clean and maintain equipment, work areas and assigned facilities.
Keep classrooms, common areas and operational spaces clean and orderly.
Report damaged equipment, facilities or safety concerns to the relevant school personnel.
Logistics and Event Support
Provide logistical support for school events and activities.
Carry, move and arrange furniture, equipment, refreshments and other items.
Assist with preparing and setting up event equipment and materials.
Help receive, move, organise and store stock.
Restore event areas and equipment after activities.
Other Responsibilities
Cover the duties of other Operations Support Officers when required.
Respond promptly to the school’s operational requirements.
Perform other duties assigned by the Principal, Vice-Principals, Operations Manager or authorised officers.
Requirements
Minimum PSLE pass or an equivalent qualification.
Able to communicate in simple English.
Physically and mentally fit to perform cleaning and logistical duties.
Able to carry and move stock, furniture, equipment and other items safely.
Willing to undertake cleaning and general operational duties.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsible, punctual and willing to follow instructions.
Flexible to work different assigned shifts, including up to 9:00pm for school events.
Previous experience performing cleaning, logistics or operations duties in a school is preferred.
