149571 Student Services Program Coordinator II (ASPIRE Success Navigator)

This position will focus on the recruitment, orientation, and case-management of student participants in the ASPIRE Scholars Initiative. The ASPIRE Success Navigator works to ensure that students in the program achieve satisfactory academic success each semester, maintain good academic standing, and persist from term to term, achieving the academic credits aligned with program requirements for graduation, certification, and/or successful transfer to a four-year college or university. The Success Navigator assesses participants’ academic and career goals, reviews and confirms key success behaviors including regularly accessing Blackboard, Academic Advisement, Tutoring, Financial Aid, Early Registration, and more. Utilizes Civitas-Inspire to monitor students’ persistence predictions and academic performance, developing appropriate intervention strategies to solve problems as needed. The Success Navigator works in partnership with Campus Life and other GTC offices to design and deliver program activities, producing a positive expansion of the student experience at GTC. Furthers this expansion by connecting participants with institution and community resources as needed; Coordinates workshops and guest speakers; FAFSA Day, cultural activities, mentoring and Recognition events; Serves in attendance to students on college tours and other travel as needed.
