Student Support Mentor

Provide mentoring, guidance and general support to students.
Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
Support students in managing their behaviour, emotions and interpersonal relationships.
Engage students individually or in small groups based on their support needs.
Encourage students’ personal, social and emotional development.
Monitor students’ well-being, attendance, behaviour and progress.
Identify students who may require additional support and highlight concerns to the relevant school personnel.
Assist students in developing resilience, self-confidence, responsibility and positive decision-making skills.
Support the school in student engagement and intervention activities.
Work closely with teachers, school personnel and other relevant stakeholders.
Maintain proper documentation and records of student engagement and follow-up actions.
Perform other student support duties assigned by the school.

Diploma in a relevant discipline.
At least 3 years of experience working with youths, preferably in an educational or social service setting.
Experience in youth mentoring, student support, counselling support or behaviour management will be advantageous.
Patient, empathetic and able to establish rapport with youths.
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to handle sensitive student matters professionally and maintain confidentiality.
Responsible, emotionally resilient and able to work effectively with school personnel.
Must be able to commit for the full contract period.
