FLSA Status: Seasonal, Exempt
Pay: $300-$350 stipend
Season: September 9 – October 28, 2026
Practices: Wednesdays, 3:20-4:30 p.m.
Games: No games
Job Summary:
The 1st – 2nd Grade Soccer Coach is responsible for leading an 8-week clinic series, focused on individual skill development and fostering a love of the sport, catering to players of a wide range of experience and skill level. This role supports the athletic and personal development of student-athletes by promoting teamwork, skill-building, and sportsmanship in a positive and inclusive environment. The position collaborates closely with the Athletics and After-School department to align with school values and ensure a safe, engaging experience for all participants.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Plans and leads all Soccer practices 1st – 2nd grade students teaching age-appropriate soccer fundamentals, techniques, and strategies.
- Coaches all scheduled practices
- Promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual skill development, and supports player growth aligned with program expectations and core competencies.
- Ensures the safety, supervision, and well-being of all student-athletes.
- Communicates clearly with players, families, and the school community about schedules, expectations, and team progress.
- Partners with the Director of Athletics and After-School Programs to support program goals and team culture.
- Manages equipment, as well as oversees set up and cleanup for practices and games.
- Upholds and models the mission, values, and strategic priorities of STS.
- Demonstrates respect for diverse perspectives and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion.
- Adheres to school policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and After-School Programs.
