1st & 2nd Shipping/Receiving Forklift Operators

We are looking for 1st and 2nd shift forklift drivers for our bun shipping department!

1st Shift: $18.48 / hour

2nd Shift: $18.48 / hour + $1.50 shift premium

Responsibilities:

A. BASIC FUNCTION: Load and unload trailers with blocks of foam per schedule and customer orders.

B. PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Stage and load buns by pulling from stock according to shipping orders.

· Unload, tag, and locate incoming buns to bun storage.

· Organize buns by run numbers, foam type, and size

· Deliver buns to shipping and manufacturing.

· Control and monitor inventories by performing cycle counts and monthly inventories.

· Complete safety checklist prior to loading/unloading trailer.

· Supply Cutting Line Operator with buns

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this task successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must use basic math skills to count foam components.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to solve problems in a practical manner.

D. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisor responsibilities with this position.

· Frequent very heavy pushing/pulling-straightening stacks of buns

· Rare heavy lifting 51lbs. – 80lbs.- loading Compressor trailers (doors and cross bars)

G. General Quality Requirements

· Read, Understand and be trained on all related standard operating procedure and work instructions to perform tasks successfully and meet customer and QMS requirements.

· For specific quality expectations for this position, reference related SOP’s and work instructions

· Be qualified to use appropriate measurement device(s) such as ruler, caliper, tape measure, to verify product acceptance and proper machine operation.

· Constant visual inspection of materials and product to ensure acceptance

· Set aside any material or product that does not meet specification for disposition by appropriate personnel (supervisor, quality representative)

H. General Safety Requirements:

Safety glasses, hazard communications, forklift certification, trailer lock, & follow appropriate safe work practices.
