1st Shift Shipping Coordinator start at $20/hr. based on experience
Position Summary:
The Shipping Coordinator verifies and keep’s records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, and shipping merchandise or material; verifying and recording outgoing merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. They will use various tools and techniques to support their assigned department. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.

External Relationships: Regular contact with customers, prospective customers, or vendors

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares bills of lading for each shipment and checks and records all items loaded for shipment, as needed.
- Assist in the oversight of fast paced Shipping department.
- Notifies manager when major discrepancies occur, over – shipments or substitutions have been made.
- Maintains shipping records.
- Prepares shipments via FedEx, UPS or other third-party carriers.
- Coordinates shipment schedules with drivers to reach customer requirements.
- Driving Shipping department to consistently meet or exceed established metrics.
- Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Manage logistics and shipping requirements, coordinating with production facilities to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with subcontractors to submit expedite requests and follow -up on open orders.
- Perform other related duties as instructed.
