1st Shift - Test Stand Operator (7a-3p)

Summary

Operates and maintains hydraulic valve test stands, following procedures to validate product performance and flag defects in a manufacturing environment.

Job Summary:

The Test Stand Operator will be responsible for testing Sun Hydraulics’ high-performance cartridge valves through documented test procedures ensuring functionality of valves and adherence to engineering specification.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Understanding how to retrieve and interpret a blueprint drawing
  • Understanding of 5S principles
  • Issuing repair slips for valves that fail testing
  • Identifying non-conforming parts
  • Perform basic testing and setup procedure of different products
  • Daily preventative maintenance of test stand such as checking oil levels, changing filters, checking connections for leaks, and housekeeping of working are
  • Developing knowledge of Sun product lines and learning how to test and setup more complex valve models
  • Communicating progress of incomplete work orders and issues to next shift

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Car maintenance experience is a plus
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus

  • Prolonged period of sitting
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at times
