1st Shift Truck Driver

Position Summary:

The Truck Driver’s role is to serve our Logistics Department by transporting materials or finished products to or from suppliers, customer locations, or other divisions. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Internal Relationships: All Departments

External Relationships: Regular contact with customers or prospective customers

Job Responsibilities:

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations
