About the Role:
The school-based operations team is a cornerstone of the Achievement First model and is designed to support the principal in non-instructional obligations so that they can focus almost exclusively on student achievement and the professional development of the teaching staff. The Student Services Manager is a critical member of the operations team, with dual responsibility for several aspects of the day-to-day administration of non-instructional student services and for ensuring data integrity across a number of AF systems. The Student Services Manager reports to the Director of School Operations and works regularly with data system product managers at the network support office.
Responsibilities of the Student Services Manager-Culture will include but are not limited to:
Culture and Event Planning
- Collaborate with the school leadership team to plan and execute school special events, such as report card nights and award ceremonies.
- Assist in organizing and implementing field lessons and other school culture-related activities.
- Support the Director of School Operations in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Coordinate logistics for cultural events and ensure seamless execution.
- Collaborate with community partners to bring external cultural experiences to the school, creating enriching opportunities for students.
- Work closely with teachers and staff to integrate cultural enrichment opportunities into the curriculum, fostering a holistic and inclusive educational environment.

Student Services
- Coordinate daily student food services, troubleshoot issues, and track meal consumption.
- Manage daily student transportation services, address issues, and conduct required emergency drills.
- Coordinate student health services, monitor health trends, and collaborate with nursing staff for student care.

Educational Background and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution is required.
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience or a similar environment.
- Experience with educational technology and digital learning models/applications, demonstrating a strong track record of program development and integration.
Compensation & Benefits:
Student Services Managers' salaries range from $67,928 to $88,630 based on experience and location. Employees are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 403(b) retirement benefit package with a match, and paid Family Leave as regular full-time employees of Achievement First. The role is full-time and with an expectation of an average of 45 hours maximum per week.
