2027 Fundamental Equity COO Intern
The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Strategy Analyst Intern to join Schonfeld’s Fundamental Equity COO (FE COO) team. You will partner closely with the FE COO Team to help run executive routines, support business-side program management for operational, technology, and strategic initiatives, and help build documentation that keeps cross-functional commitments on track. We're looking for a creative, critical thinker with strong analytical, communication, and project leadership skills, and the role offers real input into the Fundamental Equity business’s infrastructure. Because the group’s priorities evolve continuously, you’ll face a wide variety of business problems that require careful untangling and detailed analysis.
What You’ll Do
- Research and map the Portfolio Manager and Analyst onboarding and offboarding journey, identify gaps, and come up with solutions
- Help clean up and maintain vendor and budget data, building a clear, repeatable categorization and reconciliation process that helps PMs manage their business economics
- Build or improve the presentation and educational materials that new Portfolio
- Managers and Analysts rely on
- Design a simple tracking template and process for handling incoming market and
- product questions from external Portfolio Managers
- Document processes and proactively surface ideas to improve efficiency, data quality, and transparency across the FE platform
What You’ll Bring
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and follow through independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with comfort reaching out to and interviewing stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
- Familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, Claude, and Confluence.
- Genuine curiosity about how a hedge fund platform operates, with an interest in process improvement and operational efficiency; ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced, global, highly collaborative environment.

The annual base pay for this role is expected to be between $100,000 and $115,000 which will be prorated based on internship start and end date. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications and experience and level of education.
