2027 Summer Intern Ai/Ml & Data Engineering
Summary
Summer 2027 intern on Regeneron's AI/ML & Data Engineering teams, building real production AI: LLM agents and apps, NLP text mining, data pipelines, semantic data models, and workflow automation to speed up drug development. Full-time May/June-August, mostly onsite at US sites, paid hourly using Python/SQL.
At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. Regeneron is currently seeking multiple 2027 Interns in AI/ML & Data Engineering teams. These teams build the AI tools, data pipelines, and machine learning systems that help Regeneron develop medicines faster and reduce manual work.

What you'll do:
- Build and test AI solutions that are used on real systems — not shadow projects.
- Projects may include building AI agents and LLM-powered applications, mining text with natural language processing, building and modernizing data pipelines and semantic data models, evaluating and validating AI tools and models, and automating routine workflows with AI-assisted coding tools.
- Expect hands-on software and data engineering, working with scientists and business teams to understand the problem, and responsible, well-governed use of AI.
- Python, SQL, and software engineering fundamentals are typically expected, along with familiarity with LLM prompting or machine learning packages. Several projects are better suited to master's students.
Relevant majors:
Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Information Technology, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering
