Base Contract Period: 1 September 2026 to 31 December 2026
Option Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027
Further Extension: Up to one additional year, subject to the Authority’s requirements and approval
WORKING HOURS
During School Terms:
Mondays to Fridays: 7:15 am to 2:15 pm, inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break
Required to work during School Semesters 1 and 2
Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and school holidays
Service is not required during the March, June, September and year-end school holidays
Actual working dates will follow the official MOE school calendar
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fact-Finding and Investigation Support
Conduct fact-finding interviews with students involved in disciplinary incidents.
Obtain written statements from students and witnesses.
Review CCTV footage and prepare chronological timelines of incidents.
Collect, organise and maintain evidence relating to disciplinary cases.
Prepare concise incident summaries and reports for the school’s Student Management Team and School Leaders.
Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation.
Preventive Student Management
Patrol identified behavioural hotspots during snack breaks and transition periods.
Supervise vulnerable areas before school, during recess, lunch and dismissal.
Engage students proactively to build positive relationships and identify emerging behavioural concerns.
Propose suitable school-wide behaviour education and preventive programmes.
Support the implementation of approved student management programmes.
Student Engagement and Behaviour Support
Conduct regular check-ins with identified students who require behavioural support.
Build positive relationships with students and encourage appropriate behaviour.
Facilitate reflective conversations using restorative approaches.
Supervise and support students serving school-based consequences, including in-school or Play@Lunch suspension.
Guide students in completing reflection journals, behaviour contracts and action plans.
Support students with behavioural or emotional needs.
Parent Engagement
Liaise with parents to arrange meetings regarding student management matters.
Communicate appropriate updates regarding students’ behaviour.
Explain the school’s expectations, intervention strategies and follow-up actions to parents.
Assist in preparing newsletters, notices or letters to help parents understand the school’s disciplinary and student management approaches.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level qualification.
Able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
Able to use basic Microsoft Office applications.
Comfortable and confident working with primary school students.
Patient, firm and able to manage sensitive situations professionally.
Able to maintain strict confidentiality when handling student-related matters.
Good interviewing, documentation and report-writing skills.
EXPERIENCE
Applicants must possess at least one year of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
Student management or discipline support in schools.
Case management and documentation.
Conducting interviews, investigations or fact-finding.
Conflict resolution or restorative practices.
Working with children or adolescents with behavioural or emotional needs.
Collaborating with schools, social service agencies or government organisations.
Law enforcement, including the Singapore Police Force, Auxiliary Police or investigation units, particularly in interviewing and fact-finding.
