Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
School Term
• Required to work during School Semester 1 and 2
• Mondays to Fridays: 7:15 am to 2:15pm, inclusive of 30mins lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and school holidays. For clarity, service is not required during school vacation (March, June, September and Year-End School Holiday). Actual dates to refer to MOE term calender for the year
Requirements:
The Personnel should preferably have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
1. The Personnel must have at least the following qualifications and experience:
• GCE ‘O’ Level certification
• Able to use simple Microsoft applications
• Comfortable working with primary school students
2. The Personnel must have at least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Student management or discipline in schools.
• Case management and documentation.
• Conducting interviews and fact-finding.
• Conflict resolution and restorative practices.
• Working with children and adolescents displaying behavioural or emotional needs.
• Multi-agency collaboration with schools, social service agencies or government organisations.
• Law enforcement (e.g. Singapore Police Force, Auxiliary Police or Investigation Units), particularly in interviewing, fact-finding, evidence documentation and conflict de-escalation.
Job Scopes:
The Services required are set out as follows:
1. Fact-Finding and Investigation Support
• Conduct fact-finding interviews with students involved in student disciplinary incidents.
• Gather written statements from students and witnesses.
• Review CCTV footage and compile chronological timelines of incidents.
• Collect, organise and maintain evidence related to disciplinary cases.
• Prepare concise incident summaries and reports for HOD Student Management & Leadership (SML), Year Heads and School Leaders (SL).
2. Preventive Student Management
• Patrol identified behavioural hotspots during snack break time and transition periods.
• Supervise vulnerable areas before school, during recess, lunch and dismissal.
• Engage students proactively during snack break time and lunch time to build positive relationships and identify emerging concerns early.
• Propose school-wide behaviour education and preventive programmes for HOD SML’s/SLs’ approval and to support the implementation of approved programmes under the purview of SML.
3. Student Engagement and Behaviour Support
• Conduct regular check-ins with identified students requiring behavioural support.
• Build positive relationships with students to encourage appropriate behaviour and engagement.
• Facilitate reflective conversations using restorative approaches.
• Supervise and support students serving consequences (e.g. in-school suspension or Play@Lunch suspension).
• Guide students in completing reflection journals, behaviour contracts and action plans.
4. Parent Engagement
• Liaise with parents to arrange meetings regarding student management matters.
• Communicate updates on students' behaviour
• Explain school expectations, intervention strategies and follow-up actions to parents.
• Assist HOD SML and SLs in preparing communication newsletters and/or letters to parents that serve to provide parents with a better understanding of our school’s disciplinary and student management approaches.
