We are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer to join our team in the finance industry.
In this role, you will develop and maintain Python-based automation solutions, support database validation, enhance existing automation scripts, and contribute to API testing.
You will work closely with experienced engineers, contribute to automation frameworks, and play a key role in expanding test coverage while continuing to grow your technical expertise.
Full-time, on-site position in Tel Aviv, with no hybrid option.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Python automation scripts for database testing and validation.
- Write and execute SQL queries to verify data integrity.
- Maintain and enhance existing Python automation scripts.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
- Investigate test failures and report defects.
- Assist with API testing to validate end-to-end data flow.
- Work within existing automation frameworks while following coding standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Up to 2 years of experience in Software Development, Automation, or QA (or relevant academic/project experience).
- Understanding of Basic programming concepts (loops, conditions, functions)Relational databasesJSON structureWeb applications and HTTP requests
- Familiarity with SQL queries.Git version control.SDET conceptsAgile methodologies.
- Advantages:
- Experience with Python testing frameworks (e.g., pytest).Familiarity with database libraries or ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy, psycopg2).
- Experience with REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman, requests).
- Strong motivation to learn and develop professionally.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical training.
