As an AFS-Licensed Substitute K-12 teacher, you will be a vital part of our Options-Main department, providing essential support to our students and teachers. With your flexibility and dedication, you will ensure a smooth and engaging learning environment across our diverse locations. Your role will involve stepping in when regular teachers are absent, maintaining continuity in the classroom, and delivering high-quality education to our students.
- Substitute teach for any/all Options sites, ensuring a consistent and positive learning experience for students.
- Engage and motivate students, creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Follow lesson plans and curriculum guidelines, adapting teaching methods to meet student needs.
- Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with colleagues, parents, and guardians.
- Manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning culture.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with the school community to create a cohesive and enriching educational experience.
- Stay updated with educational trends and best practices to enhance your teaching methods.
- Ensure a safe and healthy learning environment, adhering to school policies and procedures.
- AFS License for K-12 teaching is mandatory.
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a substitute teacher is an asset.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
