2900 UX/UI Designer

Summary

Designs clean, accessible UX/UI for a sports-betting app and a data-reporting portal, building Figma design systems and iterating via Agile with WCAG, iOS HIG and Material Design.

ALTEN Mexico is a subsidiary of ALTEN Group. ALTEN group has been a leader in engineering and information technology for more than 30 years and operates in 30 countries across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East and employs more than 46,000 people, 88% of whom are engineers.

A web-based business reporting portal that centralizes complex data into a clean, intuitive interface, and a mobile sports betting app (iOS/Android) that consolidates multiple providers into a seamless user experience. Design must prioritize usability, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and responsive adaptability for web, while adhering to iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design standards for mobile.

The core challenge is to simplify complex data flows (portal) and enable fast, intuitive interactions for betting users, while maintaining visual consistency across both platforms. Collaboration with technical teams under Agile methodologies is required, using Figma for design systems, interactive prototyping, and technical documentation.

Mandatory requirement: Proven experience in sports betting products and advanced expertise in managing components and variants in Figma.

We are looking for a UX/UI Designer:

General activities:

1. Research & Analysis

  • Conducted user research (interviews, surveys, competitor analysis) to understand user needs in sports betting and business reporting platforms.
  • Executed usability testing using tools like Maze or Lookback and synthesized key findings.
  • Defined user personas and journey maps for both web and mobile products.

2. Conceptual Design

  • Created wireframes and user flows to validate information architecture.
  • Developed low and high-fidelity interactive prototypes in Figma.
  • Prioritized simplicity and scalability in designs for platforms handling high data volume.

3. Visual Design & Design Systems

  • Designed high-fidelity interfaces for web (reporting portal) and mobile (betting app) platforms following:
    • WCAG accessibility guidelines.
    • iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design principles.
  • Built and maintained a Figma-based design system (reusable components, variants, auto-layouts).
  • Ensured visual consistency across platforms (color palette, typography, iconography).

4. Technical Collaboration

  • Worked closely with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation (handoff via Zeplin/Storybook).
  • Participated in Agile ceremonies (standups, grooming sessions) using JIRA and Notion.
  • Adapted designs based on technical constraints and business requirements.

5. Iteration & Improvement

  • Analyzed usage metrics (heatmaps, analytics) to refine and improve designs.
  • Proposed A/B testing for key components (e.g., betting buttons, data filters).
  • Iterated based on feedback from stakeholders and end users.

6. Specific to Sports Betting

  • Designed core flows: user registration, deposits, live betting, balance management.
  • Optimized microinteractions (notifications, animations) to enhance user engagement.
  • Ensured compliance with local regulations (e.g., responsible gaming messaging).

7. Documentation

  • Created design usage guidelines for internal teams and clients.
  • Maintained updated design tokens and libraries in Figma/Zeroheight.

Requirements

  • Preferred Engineering Degrees: Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics or IT-related Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computing
    • 5+ years in UX/UI design, with a portfolio showcasing both web and mobile projects.
    • Experience designing interfaces for complex platforms (e.g., dashboards, transaction flows, data systems).
  • Tool Proficiency:
    • Figma (advanced): Skilled in auto-layout, components, variants, prototyping, and design systems.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of UX principles (information architecture, iterative design, usability testing).
    • Familiarity with iOS Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and Android’s Material Design.
    • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design.
  • Collaboration Skills:
    • Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams (developers, PMs, stakeholders).
    • Ability to clearly communicate design decisions to non-designers.
  • Domain Expertise:
    • Knowledge of sports betting (e.g., how betting platforms work, typical user flows in betting environments).
    • Figma Expert (Auto-layout, Components, Variants, Prototyping)
    • UX/UI Design (Wireframing, User Flows, Information Architecture)
    • Design Systems (Scalable UI, Tokens, Zeroheight)
    • Mobile App Design (iOS HIG, Material Design)
    • Web Dashboard Design (Data Visualization, Reporting Tools)
    • Accessibility (WCAG) (Inclusive Design, A11y)
    • Sports Betting UI/UX (Odds Management, Live Betting, Payment Flows)
    • Agile/Scrum (Sprints, JIRA, User Stories)
    • Advanced English

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Benefits above those required by law
  • Career growth and development plan
  • Remote work scheme
  • Support for telecommuting
