2nd Shift - CNC Machinist Mill Turn

Overall Purpose: The CNC Machinist (Mill Turn) plays a vital role in our operations by programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) Mill/Turn machines. They are responsible for maintaining safety and quality standards, documenting procedures, and ensuring equipment upkeep to support the achievement of Masterbilt’s business goals.
Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes:
- Plan machining processes by studying work orders, blueprints, and specifications, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Program CNC machines by entering instructions, setting tool registers, and proving part programs.
- Set up machines by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, and attachments.
- Develop fixturing designs and tools for effective work holding.
- Maintain specifications by observing operations, taking measurements, troubleshooting processes, and adhering to quality assurance procedures.
- Ensure safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Document actions by completing production and quality logs and staying updated with industry advancements through continuous learning.
